I'm Rose Peterson, and I run ChickenFarmForSale.com out of a small home office in Northwest Arkansas, usually with a cup of coffee that's gone cold because I got distracted looking up poultry house ventilation specs again.

I didn't grow up planning to spend my life thinking about broiler contracts and integrator agreements, but here we are. I got interested in agricultural property because I noticed something that bugged me: buying a house is easy to research, buying a poultry farm is not. The information's scattered everywhere, one listing talks about acreage another talks about income and nobody puts the whole picture together. So I started doing that myself, and it turned into this site.

My husband Daniel is the mechanically-minded one in the family, if I ever have a question about generators or equipment age I just yell it across the house at him. We've got two grown kids, Emily and Ben, who mostly think it's funny that their mom is "the chicken farm lady." And there's Maggie, our border collie, who has never met a fence she didn't feel personally obligated to inspect.

I keep a small flock myself, just for eggs, nothing commercial. I'll admit I've named a few of them, which probably tells you everything about how seriously I take the "objective researcher" thing.
What I actually care about is helping people ask the right questions before they spend six figures on a farm. If a listing says "turnkey," I want to know what that means. If it says guaranteed income, I want to see the math. That's really the whole job.
